World Kidney Day 2023 – Get Involved – Update #2

 

World Kidney Day is the biggest day in the kidney community calendar

In our second GET INVOLVED update on World Kidney Day 2023, we’re showing you how – if you have some time to spare on Thursday 9th March – you can help us spread the word about World Kidney Day and awareness of kidney disease, have fun and meet lots of like-minded people.

The LAKPA stand returns to The Lister Hospital, Stevenage

First up, we’re showing our support with the return of the LAKPA World Kidney Day stand which has been a big part of our World Kidney Day celebrations for the last few years.

As always, the stand will be in the concourse at The Lister Hospital and here’s how you can #GetInvolved

Volunteer on our Stand

If you have even just an hour to spare between 9am and 5pm on the day we’d love you to join us as a volunteer on our stand.  Interested?  Why not register your time with us here on this Doodle and we’ll be in touch a few days before World Kidney Day to confirm everything.  Thank you.

 

Swing by our Stand

Even if you don’t have time to volunteer it would be mean a lot to us if you could drop by our stand and have a chat with the volunteers from LAKPA and the renal team.  We’ll have lots of great information about kidney care, organ donation, kidney research and – of course – World Kidney Day’s theme of KIDNEY HEALTH FOR ALL.  We’re planning to have the pedals again, so why not come along and have a spin.

 

Introducing the LAKPA World Kidney Day Poster

Next, we’ve put together this A4 poster to show our support for World Kidney Day and to spread the word about our stand at the Lister Hospital.  You can download the PDF of the poster by clicking the image below and then print as many copies as you like. Here are some ideas of where you can display the posters.

• At home – put up in your front windows at home;
• In the workplace – put up on noticeboards and on toilet doors (please seek permission)
• In your community – ask your local shops, libraries and business to display them for you;
• Friends and Family – ask your friends and family to do the same
